School pupil census: FOI release

Information requested

You asked for the PDF copy of the school pupil census questionnaire that is sent out the household of every schoolchild each year.

Response

The Scottish Government does not send a pupil census questionnaire to households. The Scottish Government’s school pupil census data is collected from an extract of local authorities’ school management information systems. The specification for the data extract is available on the Scottish Government website:

Note that some of the information in the specification is not sent to Scottish Government, this is denoted by a “N” in the columns headed “Sent to ScotXed”.
