Scottish Government spend on funding support and counselling: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

From FOI 202500490388:

Email from [Redacted S.38(1)(b)] MIWFM - Head of Facilities Services (Sent: 21 August 2025 09:05)

"The personal toll on individuals has been significant, with SG now funding support and counselling to help mitigate the impact of this workload and the wider targeted commentary."

Under The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, I request sight of:

  1. How much SG has spent on 'funding support and counselling'

Response

The answer to your question is that money was put aside in the Workplace Division budget to support any staff who wished to take up the offer of individual or team therapy sessions via The Keil Centre, as recommended by our HR People Advice Team. To date this offer has not been taken up and no funding has been spent.
