Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Cultures' full diary (government and political) for November 2025.

Please see the information requested in the attached annex. As you requested the information on 18 November, we can only provide information from 1 – 18 November 2025. We don’t release diary information in advance as this is a security risk to both the Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture and private office staff. In addition, the diary is ever evolving and events can be cancelled or moved and other events added in, which would prevent me from providing an accurate reflection of the diary. For 18 – 30 November 2025, this is a formal notice under section 39(1) of FOISA that the disclosure of information would, or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health or the safety of individuals.
Our application of this exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have concluded that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption, since disclosing the Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture diary in advance would or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health or the safety of the Cabinet Secretary, his private office and any officials supporting the Cabinet Secretary. This includes both advance notice of where the Cabinet Secretary and officials would be, and the travel arrangements.
The Scottish Government does not manage the political diary for Ministers. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
