Complaints regarding catering in Scottish Government buildings: FOI release

Information requested

1) Any complaints made to the Scottish Government by members of staff or ministers about catering in Scottish Government buildings between May 2021 to date.
1a) Any communications such as emails, letters, or minutes of meetings about any such complaints, and their resolution.
1b) The number of such complaints, broken down by year.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.
The Scottish Government does not hold information for the period 2021 to 29/08/2022 as this information was held by our previous catering provider.
This is a formal notice under section 17 of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you requested.

Please find below and attached available information requested from the commencement of the current catering contract, w/c 29/08/2022.

The attached email correspondence comes from the Scottish Government staff submissions via Customer Comments mailbox and the responses from our catering providers. The comments/complaints received are sent to the catering provider site specific General Managers, Group Lead Chef and Group Support Manager who respond as appropriate, sometimes these are calls to the customer or face to face as the site managers know the customers so there is no record of these conversations/resolutions.
