1. How much money has the Scottish Government spent on Pronoun Day in the each of the last five years, with a breakdown of costs?

2. Could you supply all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings, analysis, about celebrating Pronoun Day, between September 1 2024 and October 31 2024?

3. How much money has the Scottish Government handed to LGBT Youth Scotland in each of the last five years, with a breakdown per year and of costs?

4. Could you supply all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings, analysis, about or mentioning or to/from LGBT Youth Scotland, in the last three months?

5. Could you supply all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings, analysis about or mentioning the Alice Sullivan Review, between March 10 2025 and May 10 2025?

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested. Each of your questions is addressed individually below.

Below is funding also received by LGBT Youth Scotland between 8 October 2024 which is the date the aforementioned FOI response was provided, and 27 August 2025, which is not yet published online and is therefore not reasonably accessible to you.

During this period the organisation received £11,585 for 2024/25 financial year, which is for payments from the Sexual Health and Blood Borne Viruses Framework to fund their Sexual Wellbeing Work. In total they received £22,609 for this work in 2024/25.

For 2025/26, LGBT Youth Scotland are receiving:

£290,871 through the Equality and Human Rights Fund Equality & Human Rights - Inspiring Scotland

£55,773 through the Delivering Equally Safe Fund Delivering Equally Safe - Inspiring Scotland

£78,750 through the Children, Young People, Families Early Intervention & Adult Learning and Empowering Communities (CYPFEI & ALEC) Fund Children Young People and Families Early Intervention Fund and Adult Learning and Empowering Communities Fund

£39,737 from the Children, Young People, Relationships and Families Directorate

£23,784 from the Sexual Health and Blood Borne Viruses Framework to fund their Sexual Wellbeing Work.

4. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, the costs of locating, retrieving and providing the information requested would exceed the upper cost limit of £600. An initial trawl for information returned a substantial number of files which could be considered to be within scope. Under section 12 of FOISA, public authorities are not required to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying would exceed the upper cost limit, which is currently set at £600 by Regulations made under section 12.

Your request asks for “all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings, analysis, about or mentioning or to/from LGBT Youth Scotland, in the last three months.” We have interpreted your request as an ask for all information regarding LGBT Youth Scotland between 27 May and 27 August 2025.
