Information requested
The source of the meat that is purchased for use in the canteens and restaurants within the Scottish Government’s main buildings in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Please confirm whether all meat eaten in Scottish Government offices and canteens is produced in Scotland, and if not, the country (or countries) of origin for each type of meat.
Response
The meat purchased for use in Scottish Government canteens and restaurants within the Scottish Government’s main buildings in Edinburgh and Glasgow is sourced by our catering contractor from Campbells Prime Meats based in Linlithgow.
