Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked for details of money given to Scottish Trans and Stonewall in the last five years, with a breakdown per year and what the money was supplied for.

Response

I enclose a copy of the information you requested.

Some of the information you have requested is available on the Scottish Government website.

Information on funding given to Stonewall, and to the Equality Network, of which Scottish Trans forms part, is available at Equality and Human Rights Fund: projects funded - gov.scot. Details of money given to Stonewall has also been published in various FOIs including Stonewall Scotland funding: FOI release - gov.scot. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website(s) listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.

I have additionally attached details from the Scottish Government's legacy and new financial systems of all payments to Stonewall, and all payments to the Equality Network mentioning 'Scottish Trans' in the time period requested. Please note that this only captures payments made directly from the Scottish Government, and not those made by third parties such as fund managers, such as the payments in the Equality and Human Rights Fund referred to above.
