Scottish Government overseas office spend: FOI release
Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Information requested
1. Please provide a breakdown of total spending for each Scottish Government overseas office for the financial years 2022/23, 2023/24, and the year-to-date 2024/25. This should include office location, total operating costs, staff costs, rental or property costs, and hospitality or event spending.
2. If possible, please also include a list of all external events or receptions hosted by each office in the same period, with the date, location, and total cost of each event. But if this is too expensive just stick to the first request.
Response
1. I enclose most of the information you requested at Annex A. The figures for private rent is only provided for Scotland House Brussels. Accommodation elsewhere is provided by the FCDO and included in the "on platform" charges.
