Scottish Government building renovations: FOI release

Information requested

Please provide the total amount that the Scottish Government has spent on renovations and interior decorations to the offices of Scottish Ministers in St Andrews House, Victoria Quay, and Atlantic Quay, broken down into a table to list the offices of each minister and to cover every financial year from 2021-22 to date.

Response

Ministerial Private Office provide 19 offices, available for Ministerial use between St Andrews House and 5 Atlantic Quay. There are no Ministerial offices in Victoria Quay. These rooms are prioritised for use by the Ministerial team but are bookable for use by the wider organisation when not in use.

During Financial Year 22/23 a number of works were carried out in St Andrew’s House which included works on one ministerial room. The project was costed as a whole package therefore we are unable to quantify the costs directly associated to the ministerial room.

As such, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.

Excluding the refurbishment costs of 22/23, on average the Scottish Government has incurred annual expenditure of £2,776.49 across the ministerial room allocation.
