A range of questions on independent consultant involvement in the Health and Wellbeing Census.
Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.

Your questions, and our response, are set out below.
1. Why was an independent consultant part of the content group, and who recruited them?
s.17(1) no recorded information is held. Members of the Content Group were invited by the Content Group Chair and a Scottish Government analyst from Education Analytical Services.
2. What specific expertise or skill set did they bring?
s.17(1) no recorded information is held. The Content Group brought together expertise in health and wellbeing surveys, data users, representatives of the education sector and the health sector, and local authorities.
3. What was their role on the content group?
Section 25(1) applies as this information is otherwise already accessible. This information is available in the Health and Wellbeing Census Scotland: Background Report.
4. Has this individual consultant worked on other Scottish Government projects?
Yes, the independent research consultant has worked on two other Scottish Government projects.
5. If so, which other projects has the consultant worked on?
Realigning Children’s Services and Analysis of consultation responses: Financial Redress for survivors of historical child abuse in care.
6. Did the independent consultant receive any payment for their role in the content group?
No.
7. If the independent consultant was not paid for this work, why was that?

8. If payment was received by the independent consultant,
