Information requested

1. Total money in the 2023 and the 2024 budget allocated to Justice, please provide details of what money was allocated to Justice

2. Total money allocated to Legal Aid in the year 2023 and 2024

3. Breakdown of money allocated to criminal legal service and civil legal services and any other breakdown that is relevant to money allocated for both 2023 and 2024

4. A copy of the decision on how the 2023 Legal Aid budget was decided and allocated and by whom

5. A copy of the decision on how the 2024 Legal Aid budget was decided and allocated and by whom

6. Please provide a copy off any documentation of discussions/meetings on the Legal Aid requirements that were used to assist the decision on the budget for legal aid, please include the names of all ministers and third parties involved in the conversations and give detail on any consultations that took place and with whom prior to the allocation of the legal aid fund. (Evidence how you reached the decisions on the legal aid allocation of funding) or confirm no consultations took place and it was soley a decision made by a Scottish minister and state who that was

7. Please provide the total budged allocated to the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service in 2023 and 2024 budgets and a breakdown of how this was spent by the service. Please provide any additional top ups or assistance provided from the budget for the service

For 2024-25 the Scottish Government does not hold information on the breakdown of money allocated to criminal legal service and civil legal service. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
