  • Updated data on your organisation’s total spending on corporate functions in 2023-24, broken down by the total cost of running HR, finance, commercial, communications, digital & data and estate.

Response

Please find below the information you have requested.

Function FY22/23 (£) FY23/24 (£)
Human Resources 287,012 302,676
Finance 252,085 305,858
Commercial 227,581 213,444
Communications 592,631 711,697
Digital & Data 3,536,511 3,648,931
Estates 97,262 94,399

Higher costs in 2023-24 reflect a wage increase which applied to all permanent staff.

Costs of the finance and communications functions in 2023-24 were more than the wage increase. In both cases vacant posts were filled.

Costs of the commercial and estates functions decreased in 2023-24 as permanent staff were recruited to vacant posts and these costs were lower.
