Information requested

A list of dates and schools that are going to be have a ‘recovery visit’ from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 by HM Inspectors.

As announced in December 2021, HM Inspectors of Education are carrying out recovery visits between March and June 2022. The main purpose of the visits is to support the education system during the COVID-19 pandemic. On 22 February 2022 the HM Chief Inspector of Education invited schools and early learning settings to self-select to participate in a recovery visit. This date coincides with the date of your request. Therefore no recovery visits had been arranged at that time.

Since 22 February schools have and continue to self-select for a recovery visit. Appendix A, attached provides you with the information you have requested as at 21 March 2022.

It details:
The list of dates and schools that HM Inspectors of Education have confirmed are going to have a recovery visit. This includes schools that have self-selected for a recovery visit and the visit has taken place or has been notified to the school.

This list does not contain details of schools that have self-selected where HM Inspectors of Education have not confirmed a recovery visit will take place and the school has not been notified. In addition the invitation for schools to self-select remains open therefore this list will continue to change over time.

The information provided in Appendix A is subject to change as HM Inspectors of Education will continue to keep plans under review to changing circumstances linked to the pandemic.
