Information requested

Details of the total number of laptops and tablets which have been given to schoolchildren in Scotland as at 30th September 2021 and if possible, broken down by school and by local authority area.

Response

The latest figures we have are as at end June 2021.

The following figures only include devices procured and distributed via our investment of £25m in the 2020-21 financial year to support digital inclusion for disadvantaged children and young people across Scotland, during the period when schools were closed due to Covid. The figures do not include individual local authority approaches to digital inclusion.

We do not hold information on the breakdown of devices at school level.
