All information on the commissioning, writing, approval and version history of the document ‘The Road to the Scottish Parliament’.

Response

Two Development Officers, who were former teachers, were the authors of this document. An appropriate C3 grade staff member had the overall control of the creation of the document. The staff members responsible for commissioning, editing and approving the text were C2 and C3 grade staff members.  Scottish Government staff were not involved in the editing or approval of the text.

There are no documents relating to the editing, approval, amendment and quality control of the document. The document appears to have been published in 1999, before Education Scotland was created so we have no information relating to the original commissioning. However the review and relaunch dates and information for the You Decide pack, of which this resource is a part of, are as follows:

  • First idea: August 2015
  • Commissioning: August 2015
  • Beginning of writing: November 2015
  • Publication: 2016
