Information requested
- Copy of the plans for lighting up St Andrew’s House on particular dates during 2020 after 17 May, as they stood at 17 May.
- How the Scottish Government decides what events to mark like this and whether it has turned down any suggestion since 2015, and if so for what events.
- Copy of the Light Up events each year for 2015 to 2018.

1. I enclose a copy of the information you requested which is attached.
2. The answer to the first part of your question is as that as long as the request to light up St Andrew’s House to mark an event is non-political; is in line with Scottish Government policies e.g. raises awareness of health issues, inequalities etc.; and the date is available then we would accept the request. Regarding the second part of your question, while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested. Under section 17(1) of FOISA the Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because it was routinely destroyed in accordance with our standard records management practice, before the date of your request.
