Response

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested in the format you asked for.
Attached is the breakdown of grades attained by school pupils with ethnic background ‘African/Black/Caribbean’ in National Qualifications at SCQF 5 and SCQF 6, 2009/10 to 2018/19.
The data shows all grades attained by African/Black/Caribbean pupils in publicly funded secondary schools in Scotland in a given year. The approach used to for this data is different to attainment statistics published by the Scottish Government, which focus on the total attainment pupils have accumulated by the time they leave school.

In addition, the Scottish Qualification system has changed over the period to which this data relates, particularly in relation to the introduction of Curriculum for Excellence from 2014 onwards. Different
attainment measures included are presented in separate tabs within this data file.
