Any meetings recorded between Scottish Government officials and representatives of Japanese refrigeration company Mayekawa. Details are also requested for any assistance provided, financial or otherwise between The Scottish Government and this company.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under section(s) S38(1)(a) and (b) Personal data relating to third party of FOISA apply to all information. In addition Scottish Government does not have the information on assistance provided, financial or otherwise, that you have requested. The reasons why we don’t have the information are explained in the Annex to this letter.

REASONS FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION
The Scottish Government does not have the information
Section 17(1) of FOISA (information not held) requires the Scottish Government to notify you if it does not have the information you requested. The Scottish Government does not have all the information you have asked for because Scottish Development International has the information you are looking for.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have all the information you have requested.
An exemption applies
An exemption(s) under section 38(1)(a) and (b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested because it is personal data or third party, i.e. names/contact details of individuals, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998.
