Response
Please find enclosed, in the Annex, most of the information you have requested regarding the Towards Headship programme and also the Into Headship programme.
However, SCEL/Education Scotland do not receive direct applications to the Into Headship programme from local authority participants. Local authorities receive initial applications and interview participants for the programme. In order to be helpful, figures have been provided to indicate the number of participants that were submitted in total from local authority, as successful applications and from the independent sector.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that Education Scotland does not have the information you have requested on the total number of applications to the Into Headship programme.
To assist you further with your request, you may also find it helpful to contact each local authority who may be able to provide you with the details you require. The following website will take you to a list of all 32 Scottish local authorities which may be of use: http://www.cosla.gov.uk/scottish-local-government.
