1. Currently, how many vacancies are there across Scotland for Secondary Teachers of Technological Education? 

2. Can you tell me how many of these are Full-Time, Part-Time and Temporary?

3. Can you tell me the target intake for Initial Teacher Education for Secondary Teachers of Technological Education for 2018/19, and if this target was met?

4. Can you tell me how many Secondary Teachers of Technological Education currently working in Scottish Schools are within 5 years of retirement age?

5. Can you tell me the percentage of newly qualified Secondary Teachers of Technological Education which leave the profession within 5 years of starting?

 

 

Questions 1 &2

Please see the attached website link which shows 23 teacher vacancies in technological education at 19 September 2018: Teacher vacancies: 2018 statistics.  21 of these vacancies are permanent full-time and 2 are permanent part-time.  There are no temporary vacancies.

Question 3

Please see the attached website link which shows a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) technological education target intake of 50 and an intake of 48 in 2018/19: Initial teacher education: 2018 student teacher intake statistics.  Undergraduate technological education had a target of 33 and an intake of 19 in 2018/19.
