Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

FOI reference: FOI/18/02859
Date received: 28 September 2018
Date responded: 18 October 2018
Information requested
You asked for the total spend on dry cleaning by the core Scottish Government in each of the last three financial years.

I enclose details of the information that we hold.

The table below indicates the core Scottish Government’s (core Directorates) spend in financial years 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 with suppliers who have been classified under the Thomson trade classifications of “Dry Cleaners” and “Laundries & Launderettes” on the Scottish Procurement Information Hub, where the Thomson trade classification is known.

Financial Year

Total Spend “Dry Cleaners”

Total Spend “Laundries & Launderettes”

We cannot provide core Scottish Government spend with “Dry Cleaners” and “Laundries & Launderettes” for financial year 2017-18, as we do not hold this information at present.

The information contained in this FOISA response has been extracted from the Scottish Procurement Information Hub (the “Hub”) which is a tool to assist public sector organisations to analyse their spend profile. All suppliers on the Hub have been allocated to one spend category only, where in reality they may supply products or services that cover multiple categories. These limitations should be borne in mind when interpreting this response.
