Information requested

 

1. How many vehicles are in the entire Scottish Government fleet, broken down by department. In each case, please provide details of how many of these vehicles are petrol, diesel, electric or hybrid.
2. How many ministerial cars there are and how many are petrol, diesel, electric or hybrid.

 

Response

 

We are committed to leading by example on tackling climate change, by replacing fossil-fuelled vehicles with plug-in vehicles, where appropriate.
In line with our procurement strategy, we evaluate technologies to assess their operational suitability for use within the Government Car Service (GCS) and wider Scottish Government fleet.
During the current year we intend to increase the number of ultra-low emitting vehicles (ULEV’s) on the fleet by a further 14. This includes 6 ULEV’s for GCS.
