Information requested
Information regarding secondary school inspections using the HGIOS4 model as follows:
1. Please provide data specifying the names of all secondary schools inspected using the HGIOS 4 framework and QIs.
2. Please provide a full breakdown of the QI ratings for the schools inspected over this period of time.
Response
From August 2016, Education Scotland implemented new arrangements for the inspection and reporting on the quality of education in schools. As part of the new arrangements, HM Inspectors started using the HGIOS 4 Framework and Quality Indicators.
Please find attached the names of secondary schools inspected and published between August 2016 and 6 March 2018, together with the Quality Indicator grades. To understand the Quality Indicator grades it is necessary to understand the context of the school and the rationale for the grades given set out in the inspection report and the summarised inspection findings. These are available on Education Scotland's website.
