Response
Information on the distribution of Scottish Government staff across pay-grades and according to protected characteristics defined by the Equality Act 2010 (age, gender, ethnic group, sexual orientation, disability status, marital/civil partnership status, religion or belief and maternity leave) is published here and in Annex 'Section 1: Staff numbers by diversity characteristics': /publications/equality-outcomes-mainstreaming-report-2017/
The Scottish Government collects information from local authorities on the characteristics of homeless applicants through the HL1 homelessness applications data return. The Scottish Government statistical publication 'Homelessness in Scotland: 2016/17' Table 8a provides a breakdown of homelessness applications in Scotland by ethnicity across the years 2002/03 to 2016/17. Information on the disability, sexual orientation and religion of homeless applicants is not currently collected through the HL1 return.
