GDP First Quarterly Estimate 2025 Q3 (July to September)
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure the output of the economy in Scotland. The GDP first quarterly estimate is an accredited national statistics publication for Scotland.

- Scotland’s GDP grew by 0.2% in real terms during Quarter 3 2025 (July to September), after growing 0.2% in the previous quarter (April to June 2025). In Quarter 3, GDP in the UK as a whole grew by 0.1% after growing by 0.3% in the previous quarter.
- In Quarter 3 2025 services output grew by 0.5%, production contracted by 1.3%, construction grew by 0.1% and agriculture, forestry and fishing contracted by 1.3%. Growth in the Business Services & Finance sector made the largest positive contributions towards total GDP.
- Compared to the same quarter last year, Scotland’s GDP grew by 0.9%. Over the same period, GDP in the UK as a whole grew by 1.3%.
