Recommendations and Conclusion

The measures outlined in the SSI are narrow in nature, and represent a technical change to a support scheme for renewable energy generators which will create system wide savings which could be used to reduce the ROS levy applied to consumer bills. Any potential bill reduction would be marginal and therefore unlikely to meaningfully impact affordability. As such the Scottish Government does not consider the measures to have an evidenced equality impact.
