This health visiting action plan 'Enhancing the delivery of the health visiting service 'recognises the vital role that the health visiting service plays in supporting the health, wellbeing and development of all of Scotland’s pre-school children.

9 At the time of this plan being published, latest available national statistics on health visitor coverage and the collection of meaningful data against developmental domains covers the year 2022/23. That is why that year has been chosen as a baseline for the plan’s overarching aims.
