Information requested
Beyond those tenders currently in the public domain, what opportunities are currently in your procurement pipeline in relation to the following services:
- Debt collection
- Debt recovery
- Enforcement services
For those opportunities which are currently in the pipeline, what is the estimated contract value for each individual pipeline opportunity (given in £1000s of pounds)?
For those opportunities currently in the pipeline, can you provide an expected timetable for the future tendering of those opportunities (please provide the timeline on a month-by-month basis or describe, in months, the estimated tender process length)?
For those opportunities currently in the pipeline, please could you also include:
- Whether there is an option for extension, and, if so, how long that extension is.
- The current supplier or suppliers (if applicable).
- Key individuals involved in the procurement process.
Response
There are currently no planned procurements for the Social Security Programme for any of these services.
The Scottish Government advertises all tender opportunities on the Public Contracts Scotland website (Home - Public Contracts Scotland) or to companies already on pre-existing frameworks where these are identified as an appropriate route to market. Details of these frameworks are available on line at the following link Procurement: Scottish Government frameworks and contracts - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).
Where a potential opportunity is identified in advance of a potential procurement it should be published on PCS on the forward plan (Forward Plan - April 2023.xlsx (Download) - Public Contracts Scotland)
This approach ensures we meet our obligations around transparency and equal treatment as all potential bidders are given information relevant to submitting a bid at the same time.
