COVID-19 Advisory Group: superspreading advice

Advice commissioned by the First Minister and Chief Medical Officer on ‘superspreader’ events.

The attached advice has been formulated by the Scottish Government Covid-19 Advisory Group.

The group considers the scientific and technical concepts and processes that are key to understanding the evolving COVID-19 situation and potential impacts in Scotland.

The advisory group draws on the advice coming to the four nations from the Scientific Advisory Group on Emergencies (SAGE) and other appropriate sources of evidence and information and uses it to inform decisions in Scotland during the pandemic.

The science surrounding COVID-19 is rapidly evolving and the understanding of the evidence set out in this advice may be liable to change”
