Fishing - Clyde Seasonal Closure: partial business and regulatory impact assessment
The Clyde Seasonal Closure partial business and regulatory impact assessment (BRIA) aims to identify the costs, benefits and impacts of proposed future management options for Clyde cod.
Section Five: Next steps and implementation
Recommendations / preferred options
The intent of this consultation is to offer our stakeholders a range of options as well the ability to suggest alternative or complimentary approaches for our consideration. For that reason and given the diverse opinions regarding the Clyde Seasonal Closure, we have not specified a preferred option.
Implementation considerations / Plan
Implementation planning will be subject to the consultation and Ministerial agreement and determined in due course.
Post-implementation review
As during the 2024 and 2025 closures Marine Scotland will carry out monitoring to monitor compliance with the closure and monitor cod catches within the surrounding area. Stakeholder meetings will also be carried out to seek feedback.
