Social Security - Cross-Border Amendment regulations: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment (CRWIA)

Consideration of the impacts on children's rights and wellbeing made by the proposed improvements the Scottish Government plans to implement through the draft Social Security (Cross-border Provision, Case Transfer and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2025.

12. Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing.

As part of the decision-making process, plans for reviewing the impact on children’s rights and wellbeing need to be developed.

  • How will the impact of the proposal on children’s rights and wellbeing be monitored?
  • When will you review and update the CRWIA if required?

The impact of the proposal will be monitored through Social Security Scotland client experience evaluation processes and feedback. Programme Policy will also monitor any complex cases as they arise and are reviewed as part of case discussions.

The CRWIA will be reviewed and updated in light of any relevant feedback.
