12. Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing
The Scottish Government acknowledges the importance of monitoring and evaluating the impacts of strategic decisions and legislations on children’s rights and wellbeing.
Any information gathered during the implementation phase of the legislation, which is deemed relevant to this assessment, will be used to inform future determinations of the assessment.
Therefore, any new decision or proposal (including amending legislation) would be subject to a new CRWIA, in line with the legislative requirements.
The Scottish Government will continue to review and update this document where required during the legislation implementation process.
Following the post-consultation period, throughout the development, implementation and evaluation of the new legislation, if additional information emerges, requiring a reassessment of the CRWIA, then this document will be amended accordingly, to incorporate the new evidence of the impacts to children, young people and their rights.
