Agriculture Statistics Show & Tell event 2025
Key points from this years show and tell event session:
- A new agricultural tenancy data project has been launched. The project aims to produce a draft set of agricultural tenancy questions and a recommended data collection route.
- Call to stakeholders to contribute topics and questions to the 2026 June Agricultural Census (JAC). To help select what topics are most important to be included in JAC 2026 please fill in this feedback form. Topics will be under consideration through November 2025. We will then work with users to finalise questions to be included in JAC 2026.
- More detail about JAC response rates is included in the slides (appendix at the end).
- We are considering a pause to the whole farm and enterprise emissions reported in Scottish agriculture greenhouse gas emissions and nitrogen use. The pause will take place after the 2026 publication (provisional release date in June 2026). We are interested in reviewing the value and user need for these data. If you are a data user please contact us at agric.stats@gov.scot.
- New interactive content from Total income from farming and Scottish farm business income publications is available on the Agricultural Statistics Hub. This content is still in development so we would be grateful for any feedback given through the feedback form.
Slides from this event are available at Supporting Documents.
We hope everyone who attended enjoyed our show and tell event. We would be grateful for any feedback to help us improve future events by completing this feedback form.
