Affordable Housing Supply Programme: out-turn report - 2023 to 2024

Preamble

The purpose of the Out-turn Report is to supplement the main Scottish Government published affordable housing statistics by bringing together an annual statement that focuses on how the Affordable Housing Supply Programme (AHSP) resources were spent and what they delivered. 

The introduction and separate headings provide context to the associated tables within the supporting accessible Excel document. Definitions are within the glossary and contacts and further information are available.

Key figures to highlight for financial year 2023 to 2024 are as follows –

Approved 6,942 affordable homes

Started 6,895 affordable homes

Completed 9,515 affordable homes

There were 115 Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) received funding for provision of affordable housing

Invested over £707 million

There were 25 councils who received funding for council house delivery
