Adult Support and Protection (ASP) National Minimum Dataset, 2025-26 – Technical Report
This technical report accompanies the statistical publication Adult Support and Protection (ASP) National Minimum Dataset, 2025-26 and provides more detailed information on the background and methodology used to produce the statistics, as well as notes on data quality and a glossary of terms used.
Annex 1: List of indicators in the 2025-26 ASP National Minimum Dataset
This annex lists all the indicators in the ASP National Minimum Dataset (NMDS) in 2025-26, categorised by whether data from them is published in the main statistical publication. There is more information about the ASP NMDS (including a copy of the latest ASP NMDS reporting template) on the relevant Iriss webpage.
Please note that the information on the Iriss webpage may be slightly different from what is listed here, which refers to the indicators as they were described in 2025-26. Improvements are made to the ASP NMDS reporting template and supporting documents over time and the content on the Iriss webpage will be the most up to date documents available.
There is more information about each indicator in the relevant section of the main statistical publication, and also in the Glossary.

Indicators not in the ASP NMDS 2025-26
Please note that there was not an indicator 7 or an indicator 12 in the 2025-26 ASP NMDS. The data to be collected under indicators 7 and 12 were initially discussed with the five local authority learning partners and the wider sector in the development of the NMDS, but were discarded due to challenges identified with their collection prior to the start of phase 1 of the ASP NMDS in 2023-24.
