Acknowledgements

This publication has been produced by the Scottish Government in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services (Iriss). The Scottish Government would like to thank Iriss staff for their work in developing and maintaining the Adult Support and Protection National Minimum Dataset (ASP NMDS) and their considerable contribution to the production of this publication. This is additional to their ongoing work in support of ASP practice across Scotland.

The Scottish Government would also like to thank the individuals from the five local authorities (the ‘learning partners’) who helped to develop the ASP NMDS for the considerable time and effort they have provided - and continue to provide - to support and improve the dataset.

More information on how Iriss and the Scottish Government have worked together on this publication is available in the data and methodology chapter of the accompanying technical report. And more information on future developments to the ASP NMDS is available in the Future Plans chapter.
