LGBTI funding and partners

We work with a wide range of third sector organisations to promote equality of opportunity and inclusion for LGBTI people and to ensure that the voices of those with lived experience can help to improve outcomes for LGBTI communities across Scotland. These organisations include:

Funding

Funding of over £3 million through the Equality and Human Rights Fund has been provided to organisations working to promote LGBTI equality in Scotland over 2021 to 2024.

The Equality and Human Rights Fund is managed through Inspiring Scotland.

Across the fund, LGBTI historically got £2,671,400, which was 12% of the fund across eight organisations. This round will see funding rise to £3,454,290, which is 14% across five organisations which include Stonewall, LGBT Youth Scotland and the Equality Network.

This provides support for a range of initiatives, including work to address hate crime, support around the commitment to reform gender recognition legislation, an LGBTI helpline and a project to inform work on equality for intersex people.

Equality and Human Rights Fund

The Equality and Human Rights Fund (EHRF) supports work which advances human rights, promotes equality and tackles discrimination around age, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, disability and race.

Through EHRF we provide funding for LGBTI organisations to help improve the lives of LGBTI communities in Scotland, increase access to services and promote equality.
