Unscheduled Care Programme Board

Overview

This group is no longer active. It was formed in 2014 and concluded in 2019.

The UC Programme Board will have a monitoring function of UC performance across NHSScotland responding to challenges and emerging issues with a solution based response. They will have a liaison function with NHS Boards who are identified as challenged and support sharing of innovation and improvements from performing Health Boards. 

The UCPB will oversee the projects relating to the key themes in the 6 Essential Actions to Improving Unscheduled Care Programme and will consider progress of improvements and innovations across NHSScotland.

Specific responsibilities

  • driving the Unscheduled Care agenda forward and delivering outcomes and objectives
  • ensuring the programme delivers within agreed scope and boundary
  • monitoring progress of performance and improvement
  • defining and agreeing acceptable risks
  • provide understanding of impact of change
  • escalating risk and changes to Performance Director

The Board reports to the Health and Social Care Management Board
