Peatland Expert Advisory Group
Overview
The Peatland Expert Advisory Group (PEAG) was established in June 2023 following the publication of the Onshore Wind Policy Statement.
The group will provide expert advice and intelligence on matters relating to the impact of onshore wind development on peat and identify opportunities to ensure it is consistent with NPF4, Scottish Government climate targets, the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy and other relevant strategies and plans.
The PEAG is co-chaired by Deputy Directors from the Scottish Government.
