National Strategy for Economic Transformation Delivery Board

The 10 year National Strategy for Economic Transformation contains bold and ambitious actions to deliver economic prosperity for all Scotland’s people and places. It sets out the priorities for Scotland’s economy as well as the actions needed to maximise the opportunities of the next decade to achieve the Scottish Government’s vision of a wellbeing economy.

To oversee the successful implementation of the strategy, a new National Strategy for Economic Transformation Delivery Board has been created. The Board was announced on the 24 May 2022 and is an action from the National Strategy. It is Co-Chaired by the Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Fair Work and Energy and Barry White, former Chief Executive of the Scottish Futures Trust. The delivery board is made up of business representatives who hold the public, private and third sector delivery partners of National Strategy of Economic Transformation (NSET) to account.

The role of the delivery board is to ensure the successful delivery of the interconnected policy programmes of action set out in the national strategy; to challenge and adapt any aspects within the identified programmes that do not deliver on the ambitions of the national strategy; and to prioritise based on what is most important, what the timescales are and where the greatest influence can be brought to bear.

The board also consists of nine members from the private sector who will shape the delivery of NSET.

  • Douglas Millican
  • Sir Simon Lister
  • Ellis Watson
  • Gillian Docherty
  • Nora Senior
  • Roz Foyer
  • Ewan Aitken
  • Audrey Cumberford
