Kersti Berge

Kersti Berge has been Director of Environment and Forestry since May 2026.

Kersti has wide ranging experience working on climate change, environment, energy and economics. She was previously Director for Energy and Climate Change at the Scottish Government.

Prior to joining the Scottish Government, she was Director for Networks at the energy regulator Ofgem, where she also headed their Scotland office. Before joining Ofgem she was a senior economic advisor at HMT and prior to that she was a lecturer in economics at Oxford.
