Mary McAllan
Mary McAllan has been Director of Covid Recovery and Public Service Reform since 2022.
Mary’s civil service career began in 1993 when she joined the then Scottish Office. Since then, she has worked in areas including fisheries management, public service reform, economic development, private office, energy and climate change and, currently, Covid recovery.
Before joining the civil service, Mary worked in engineering. She also has a degree in medieval history. Mary is married with three daughters.
