Dr David Signorini

Dr David Signorini became Interim Director, Environment and Forestry in April 2024.

David has served as acting Director in the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate between November 2023 to March 2024. He was previously the Chief Executive of Scottish Forestry - the agency responsible for forestry policy, support and regulations.

Before moving to Scottish Forestry, David held various posts within Government, including as Deputy Director for the Better Homes Division and in Justice Analytical Services.

David has a wealth of government experience and a track record of leadership, relationship building, working closely with Ministers and stakeholders and delivering results across complex and high-profile policy areas.
