Visits of the US President and Vice President: provisional costs

In summer 2025 Scotland received the US President and Vice President. This required a significant policing response to ensure safe and secure visits, with additional costs being incurred by a number of other public bodies. We have been working with partners to understand the actual additional costs incurred as a result of these two visits.

The table below includes the provisional costs incurred to 22 October 2025 and excludes commercially sensitive costs. These figures are subject to revision following further scrutiny.
