Guidance for All Local Authorities on Preparing Strategic Housing Investment Plans
This guidance note contains revised procedures for preparing a Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP).
In 2020, in recognition of the Covid-19 situation and the potential difficulties with preparing a SHIP, local authorities were required to prepare a light SHIP in line with guidance issued by Scottish Government More Homes Division Area Offices. This guidance supersedes that approach and should be read in conjunction with Affordable Housing Supply Programme: Process and procedures MHDGN 2020/02, alongside any subsequent updates to that guidance.
