- The criteria used by SNAP when choosing the current Panel.
- The reasons for deciding its optimal size.
Response
The criteria used by SNAP when they chose the current panel can be found in Annex A.
The answer to the second point (the reasons for deciding its optimal size) is that the Panel’s Terms of Reference (ToR) stipulates the size and make-up of the panel. The co-chairs took the view that this size of panel would afford a suitable range of views and expertise as to inform and enhance the work of SNAP, while balancing the challenge of managing a large group of people.
