Introduction from Chair

Setting out that the Commission will meet regularly; there will be a high level, non-attributed note of each meeting that Commissioners will have the opportunity to comment on before it is published on the website.

Round-table introduction from Commissioners

Each Commissioner introduced themselves and set out the particular interests and experience that they hope to bring to the role.

Discussion took place around victim engagement in respect of the terms of reference and the importance of lived experience of individuals through the criminal justice system.

Announcement 

Discussion regarding the plans for the announcement of the Commission, including arrangements for communications and website on the day.

In-person meeting on the 25 February to focus on workplan/engagement/consultation/principles.

The Chair requested that the secretariat send on previous recommendations, reports and data to the Commissioners.

The next meeting

The next meeting will be in person at St Andrew’s House on 25 February 2025.
