Scottish Infected Blood Support Amendment (No.3) Scheme: October 2025
Amendments to the scheme which come into force from 22 October 2025.
Amendment of the Principal Scheme to implement changes recommended in the additional report of the Infected Blood Inquiry, published on 9 July 2025.
The changes facilitate the delay requested by the UK Government in the transfer of Scottish Infected Blood Support Scheme members to the IBCA until February 2027, and reopen the scheme to applications from bereaved partners of registered infected people who have sadly died after 1 April 2025. There are also other minor amendments.
