Odisha train crash: letter of condolences

I am writing to offer the Scottish Government’s sincere condolences for the terrible train crash in Odisha on 2 June. The scale of the tragedy is truly heart-breaking.

On behalf of the people of Scotland, I would like to send our deepest sympathy to the victims’ families and loved ones, and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured. Our thoughts and admiration are also with the emergency services and others responding to this disaster.

I wish to express our solidarity with the government and people of India at this time.
