  • The aim of the policy is to provide the framework for managing fixed-term contracts and making sure they are only used where necessary and appropriate and provide employees on fixed-term contracts with equal access to development opportunities and the same or equivalent terms and conditions as employees on permanent contracts.
  • This is a refresh of the previous Fixed-term Contracts: NHSScotland PIN policy (April 2012)
